Blocked toilets
Restore drainage without making an overflow worse.
Choosing the right method
A pump or snake may suit the layout; a jetting truck may be considered for a larger network blockage. A macerator toilet needs a specific assessment and must not be treated like a standard toilet.
While waiting for the technician
Do not flush again if the water rises. Stop using affected fixtures. If several flats are affected, inform the caretaker or property manager.
Reducing repeat blockages
Do not flush wipes or sanitary products, even if the packaging says flushable. Recurring blockages call for a pipework check.
